Eunice Suen is a professional soprano, experienced choral conductor, music educator and a registered primary school teacher.
As an experienced music educator, Suen has a diverse background with music education for over 10 years in Europe and Asia. She enjoys a busy schedule of teaching singing and directing school choirs. Suen is a Certified Vienna Boys Choir music pedagogue and a registered primary school teacher. She was also a former music teacher and choral conductor of the Diocesan Girls’ Junior School. Under her tutelage, many of her students won multiple championships and awards in various vocal competitions, some of them also get accepted to the world-class music conservatories.
Suen received her Master of Arts in Music Education and Vocal Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (Trinity College of Music) in London, and Bachelor of Music in Opera and Vocal studies at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. There she was awarded scholarship to take up music trainings in Berlin, Germany.
As a talented performer, Suen is competent in performing an extensive range of musical work. Her operatic repertoire includes King Arthur, Giulio Cesare, L’incoronazione di Poppea, Così fan tutte, Le nozze di Figaro, Idomeneo, Die Zauberflöte, Carmen and A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream, Aïda, Eugene Onegin and so on. Besides theatrical works, she also gives regular recitals and concerts locally and overseas. Suen was also an active member of the Philharmonia Chorus in London. Numerous performance opportunities led her to many world-renowned halls including the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall (London), Chapel of King’s College (Cambridge), Palau de la Música (Spain), Beijing National Grand Theatre and more.
Her reputation as an experienced teacher and performer is recognised when various music competitions invited her to be a member of the jury. Suen is also the first-prize winner of various vocal competitions. Recent years, she has often been invited to make appearances on TV music programmes by TVB and guest speaker for radio programme by RTHK. Suen also recorded CD and vinyl for a Singaporean composer and pianist which have been released in Spring 2020.
