Singing Skills

Emphasis will be placed on resonance, expansion of the vocal range, breathing, posture, articulation and intonation, within a creative and enjoyable environment.

In order to produce harmony, every single voice counts. The aim of ear training is to help singers listen to one another and adjust accordingly, so that all voices can blend seamlessly. Students will familiarise themselves with various conducting gestures.

Music Skills

Through singing, children will be exposed to a diverse range of repertoire in different styles and of different genre, origin, culture and language. Basic music theory and history will also be touched on in order to help children gain a thorough understanding of different music.

Soft Skills

Singing in a choir helps children acquire a deep awareness for others, with capabilities in self-discipline and communication. In this way, the child’s personality can be strengthened and developed through music and singing.

Performance Skills

Children will be given opportunities to perform for an audience and thus expanding their stage experience. Stage presence, the ability to command the attention of the audience, will be another focal point of the training. In this way, the authentic artist’s approach to music can be passed on.
